Social Media Associates: Work Study Students!

After much research and debate, my department decided to hire a work study to assist me with student-focused social media outreach. I created a description of the work, posted the job and received over 25 resumes, narrowing it down to 10 interviews. The following is part of the job description I posted:

·      Monitor and help provide answers to student’s questions in UNH Facebook class groups.
·      Monitor UNH Twitter #Hashtags
·      Aggregate and or/create video content for the UNH Student playlist on YouTube.
·      Submit weekly blog posts about UNH.
·      Help distribute UNH content to other websites and help make it viral.
·      Assist with the UNH Student Communications Advisory Council.
·      Be creative! Help us come up with fun tweets, Facebook updates, etc.
·      Be available after normal business hours (evenings, weekends)
·      Be punctual. Be responsible. Be available.
·      Assist in maintaining the content calendar.

*Schedule is flexible, looking for someone who can work 8-10 hours per week. Most work is done remotely, once training is completed. Besides social media, there are opportunities to learn about SEO (Search Engine Optimization), Google Analytics, Social Media metrics & reporting, WordPress, Drupal, Mobile Apps, and Adobe Creative Suite.

We hired the top two candidates.
